Milestones Museum
10 minute drive

Learn Hampshire’s history.  Go all the way back to the Victorian era, stopping at all the big milestones in Hampshire’s history. Buy rations from a 1940s shop, take a tour round their vintage vehicle collection, and even see a working Victorian printing press. Milestones Museum is truly one of the most interesting places to visit in Basingstoke.

The Vyne
12 minute drive

Explore a former Tudor powerhouse.  The Vyne was home to aristocratic lords and ladies for over 500 years, and even played host to Elizabeth I on two separate occasions. Check out the pre-Reformation chapel where you can see the earliest depiction of Henry VIII in stained glass. You can also see the domed summerhouse in the gardens, and a 600-year-old oak tree.
